Three Things You Need to Find a Job

A resume and cover letter are two basics you’ll need to apply for a job. But can you name the third requirement? According to communications expert Amy George, you can add a LinkedIn account to the list. In her Inc. article, “How to Tell the Story of Your Career with Your Resume, Cover Letter and LinkedIn Profile,” LinkedIn is a must because it gives you the space to expand on your cover letter and resume, and provides important networking opportunities. Another plus? It gives people 24/7 access to your professional profile. George’s pro tip is to create a customized LinkedIn URL that you can include on your resume.
